Cliches

Well, I could roll all the cliches out – the darkest hour is just before dawn; the sun always rises; this too shall pass etc etc.  They’re all true, of course.   The dark cloud of my last post has floated away, pushed by one or two pieces of better news and suddenly the world doesn’t seem such a dismal depressing place.

Thanks to everyone who contacted me with uplifting words – I am so very grateful to you.  And I’m grateful for what I’ve got.  I’ve seen a couple of terrible tragedies on the News and have come to realise that I have little to whinge about really.  But sometimes……

And the creative juices have been flowing, too, which is, of course, all good.

I’m enjoying a great book at the moment – Write It Down Make It Happen – and am getting a lot from it.  It ties in with my beliefs and has given me much to think about.  I especially like a quote by Julia Cameron in it – “Take the leap and the net will appear”.  Love that!

I’ve enjoyed a couple of great conversations with the Daughter, who is wise beyond her years.

February wasn’t all bad – it was the Sister’s birthday last Sunday and we had a nice “girlie” dinner with the Daughter on Friday – home-cooked and a great time and then Sister and I had a brill lunch at the Bellhouse Rayleigh and then we went to have a look round the Athenaeum Spa – wow!  What a place!  Fabulous.  And some nice meet ups with friends and theatre trips and cinema.  I am blessed.

Today the sun did its best to come out.  And tomorrow it’s March 1st.

February’s over.
