All Hail the Spring!

Well, we can’t deny that April is a month of showers.

I went to aquarobics fairly early this morning – at the Athenaeum Club in Rochford.  I enjoyed it but it probably wasn’t a good idea to eat a large bowl of muesli just before the class!  Anyway, when I left home and even when I came out of the Club, the sun was shining, albeit half-heartedly.  And all the way down the A127 to Ilford where my Hairdresser is located I needed my sunglasses.

But as I left the Hairdresser two hours later large, dark clouds were gathering ominously.  I drove to Eastbrook End Cemetery because I wanted to place some flowers on Mum and Dad’s grave to mark Mum’s birthday this Sunday.  But by the time I got there the wind was blowing a real gale and it was pouring with rain.  I sat in the car for twenty-five minutes waiting for it to stop but it showed no signs of doing so.  There was no blue sky to be seen anywhere.

So, I phoned the Brother and agreed to drop my flowers off at his office so that he could take them with his own at the weekend (I can’t go due to other commitments).  The rain and wind followed me all the way down the A13 and as I crossed the A128 and onto the A127 the rain turned to hail; heavy hail at that.  The Brother got soaked coming down for the flowers and then the weather continued on my tail all the way to the Leigh-end of Westcliff.

Yet now, I’m writing this at 6.45pm – the sun is shining!!  The weather is, indeed, schizophrenic!

The visit to the Hairdresser was as enjoyable as it always is.  He and his partner are close personal friends and very good entertainment value.  But today I was delighted to see an iconic TV actress was also there.  She was such a nice person and she recognised me from the Chase!!  We chatted like old friends and she told me she has also taught drama for a number of years.  I told her about my Actors’ Factory that’s starting at Stages Studios in Romford and she offered to do some masterclasses!   How cool is that?  I was thrilled and I know my actors will be.

Tomorrow I have an acting job – hooray!  It’s with Lee Mack and I’m excited and I’ll tell you all about it in my next blog.

Oh, yes.  “What about Singles in India?” I hear you asking.

Well, you’ll be pleased to hear – things are on the move again!!
