Recognised from the Rear

Yes, many of you have recognised it; my rear end in an advert.  So many texts, messages on FB and What’s App asking for confirmation that it was indeed mine.  And, yes, it is!  And seeing it in full HD has been quite a revelation.  And what’s interesting is that few people recognised me from the group scene at the end or in the ten second advert where I feature.  Yet everyone recognised my bum!  I’m hoping it was my dark red cardi that did it ( you had to supply your own clothes!). It’s enough to get you CONFUSED!

Wonderful news this morning that Rafael Nadal has won the US Open.  Well, if Andy Murray couldn’t defend his title, Rafa winning it is easily the next best thing.  Just want him to go on and pass Federer in the Slam Winners’ table.  That would be awesome.

Am I the only one to find it lovely that there’s an autumnal nip in the air at the moment?  I love autumn – especially the colours.  I love the shorter days – “Wierd!”  who said that?  Although I love Antigua and hot countries, I really enjoy seeing the changing seasons in England and nothing beats the reds, golds, yellows, oranges and browns of the countryside in autumn.  It somehow feels cosy.  It means long, lush lavender-oil baths instead of quick showers and then pyjamas on and cocooning myself up in the duvet to read or watch TV.  Lovely!  And I find it easier to write when it’s cooler.  I’m clacking away on the pilot episode of Singles’ Holiday the TV Series!  My poor little characters from Singles’ in India are still waiting on the bus in Delhi, bless them!

And on Sunday I prepared lamb in the slow cooker; little option as the very high rent  I’m paying doesn’t appear to include a cooker!  But slowly, the yummy, minty, herby smell invaded the whole flat and for the first time it felt a little bit like home.
