Last Saturday I was thrilled to find myself back in Birmingham for a Bloggers and Authors Get Together organised by the writer and blogger extraordinaire Kim Nash aka Kim The Bookworm, whose second novel, Escape to Giddywell Grange is out now.  It was so good to find myself among so many distinguished writers and bloggers; bookie people – my Tribe! The Banjo – Paperback!

Yes. I kid you not. Finally after so much aggro with Amazon that would make a novel in itself, I am able to offer you The Banjo in paperback form through my website. The Banjo is set in Dagenham in the 50s and 60s and it’s not about a musical instrument!  A banjo is a pedestrian cul-de-sac of which there are dozens in Dagenham and the name seems only to be used here. Mention a banjo to people from other areas and they look at you as if you’re mad! 😂

Oh what a Proud Mummy Moment!

I am now able to hold all my Singles Babies in my arms.

I know they’ve been available on Kindle for a while – Singles,Set and Match only for a week – but there’s something wonderful about holding a proper book, don’t you think?

Paperback Holdup!

Oh dear!  After last week’s boasting of my books coming out in paperback next week I am having to eat my words.  Amazon just cannot, will not accept my book covers.  I have contacted them and they agreed “as a one-off gesture” to help me with the cover upload for Singles, Set and Match. (They ignored my plea for help with Singles and Spice.)

Good morning! Reviews are an author’s life blood. Our readers can’t imagine the thrill it gives us when they write a review.  Okay – sometimes a one star review sends a writer running to the coffee or something stronger! – but you learn to accept that your work isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea.  So it’s a bit galling when Amazon – yes THAT Amazon, the champion of writers and indie authors – won’t let you post a review.  This was the case when I tried to post a review for Kim Nash’s Amazing Grace.

Going International in 2019
