Happy Birthday, Antigua!

Before I move onto congratulating my adoptive country on the thirty-fifth anniversary of its independence, I want to apologise to you all as lately I haven’t written my journal as often as I used to. I have had complaints! This, of course, is very flattering; I’m delighted at how many readers I have scattered across the globe that enjoy my jottings. So I’m really sorry if I’ve upset you. Days Are Flying By

Where have three weeks gone?  Huh?  Who can tell me?  I can’t believe I’ve only got three days left before I leave Antigua.  I have this sort of panicky feeling that I’m running out of time.

What an exciting week it’s been!  After two years of planning we are finally shooting the pilot episode of the Amazing Adventures of Maisie and Em.  Heather Doram and I went onto ABS Television’s  breakfast programme, good Morning Antigua and Barbuda on Thursday as our characters.  It was a lot of fun as Maisie and Em flirted mercilessly with presenter   William Dorsett, who was a good sport and gave co-presenter the lovely Brucella Marsh a lot to deal with.  We then had a … Read the rest »

All Good Things…

And so, here I am, on the last day of my working holiday in my beautiful Antigua.  Well, it’s the penultimate day, really, but as tomorrow is departure day and it’s usually a round of madness I have to make the most of today.  The time has flown by; it seems as if I’ve only been here eight or nine days and not twenty. but I’ve had fun.
